Is it over yet?

Is it just me or has this lockdown lasted ten years? At first I didn't really mind sitting at home eating junk food and watching TV. But once school started I began to see the issue... not only were the children home all day but I still had to focus on work and school assignments and act almost as if nothing was going on. Not only was I starting to feel like a slacker in the professional world but I started to feel like I was neglecting my family. I’m sitting at home all day and I still hadn’t manage to cook a full meal for supper or do laundry ? Then I reminded myself that this is not normal. I decided to sit back and give myself a break. After all the world has literally turned upside down. It's OK to fall off of routine as long as you remind yourself to get back on. We can't always be superheroes . Even Batman has his down times. So the next time you find yourself sitting on the couch thinking to yourself what have you done for the last 7 hours. Remember that it's OK to be human and not know the answers to everything right now. The world is full of uncertainties at the moment. So give yourself a break and don't feel bad about having a lazy day.
